Palmetto is its own town with its own pace. About 14,000 people, the working waterfront along the Manatee River, the old neighborhoods off 10th Street, and the newer rooftops out toward Artisan Lakes and Moccasin Wallow Road. From downtown Palmetto (typical drive: 18 to 25 min)
- From downtown Palmetto, take US-301 or 10th Street East over to the I-75 interchange near Ellenton (Exit 224).
- Get on I-75 south. You will pass the Ellenton outlets exit and the Manatee River on your right.
- Stay on I-75 for about 8 miles to Exit 217 (SR-70 / Lakewood Ranch Blvd).
- Head east on SR-70 / 53rd Avenue, then turn left onto Lakewood Ranch Blvd and a quick right onto Professional Parkway.
